This sign is from my personal collection, but shows what signs were used on the 1967 print of the OTC front destination from a 5900 series TDH-5105 bus. The housing is what proves the type of bus, as all signs were replaced that year. 1958/1959 GMC TDH-5105 Bus series 5901-5997, 5101-5110 Sign year 1967

A complete look at the front rollsign from ex. SW&A Twin Coach #361. #361 is a 1950 Fagoel Twin Coach model 38-S. One of 20 purchased that year by the SW&A. 12 were later sold to other properties, and this one went to OC Transpo as a historical bus.

A complete view of the rollsign from ex. London Transit Commission Canadian Car & Foundry Brill CD-36ATC #308. #308 is one of 5 purchased new to the LTC in 1953, which ran it's service life then was retired. Years later was sold to OC Transpo as a historical bus.

Ex. OC Transpo #4040, a 1999 Orion VI 06.501 (VIN 1VH669P77X6600106) seen at the scrapyard being destroyed. 4040 was one of the last Orion VI buses out of 140 to be in service for OC Transpo after 14 years on the road.

#5931 seen here starting again for the second time this year, and taking a tour around Merivale Bus garage. #5931 is a 1959 GMC TDH-5105 original to Ottawa and was new to replace the streetcars. September 5, 2012

My area still has some of this model, though ours are currently out of service due to the reduced schedules from the pandemic

Since then, New Flyer’s bus empire consists of not themselves but Alexander Dennis, MCI, ARBOC and NABI. They have the rights to Orion aftermarket parts.
This is not recycling This is destroying and mixing the different materials and metals that could easily separate. For example aluminum moldings and windows that are thrown into the scrap pile.
